First Snow NH
Located in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire, Freeland Acres Country Home, LLC, is a lovingly restored (circa 1860s) Cape-style home. The residence is beautifully maintained with freshly painted, farm-house moldings and quaint New England-style wallpaper. The big country kitchen and its old pine table, easily prompt old-fashioned family-style suppers, or candlelit gourmet dinners with stemmed wine glasses, cloth napkins, Towel flatware, and Blue Willow china.
There are four comfortable bedrooms, and two bathrooms, one on each floor. The front porch has four comfy rockers, and offers an unhindered, sweeping view of the Kinsman Mountain range. The teak bench on the south knoll is surrounded by flower-filled whiskey barrels and is perfect for bird watching and quiet reflection.
Guests will love the house’s proximity to nearby hiking, climbing, swimming, boating, fishing, bicycling, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, country inn dining, golf and tennis!
Also nearby is the Robert Frost Museum, North Country Chamber Players and summer theater, including PaperMill Theater in Lincoln and the Weathervane Theater in Whitefield. Visits can be made to the New England Ski Museum, Maple Syrup Museum, Franconia Historical Museum and the sole surviving post-Revolutionary New Hampshire Stone Iron Furnace.
Our returning guests rave about the charming decor and excellent housekeeping.
